Our Review

The Magnus looks incredible on paper — 12 EDGE points per 100 is the highest base rate among Indian super-premium cards. But the devil is in the EDGE point valuation. Axis has devalued EDGE rewards multiple times, and the transfer ratios to airline partners keep changing. At current valuations (~0.30-0.40 per EDGE point, last verified May 2026), the effective return is 3.6-4.8% on all spends — which is competitive with HDFC Infinia's 5x at ~0.50/point (2.5%). The quarterly milestone bonus of 5,000 points for 2L spend is achievable and adds meaningful value. If Axis keeps the current valuations stable, this card offers arguably the best return in India. But that's a big 'if.' We update EDGE valuations monthly — check our Axis points value page for the latest.
