Our Review

The SBI Yatra card has a problem: Yatra.com's market share has shrunk significantly compared to MakeMyTrip and Cleartrip. The 5% back on Yatra bookings is decent, but you need to ask whether you're actually booking through Yatra regularly. Most people don't. The 1% base rate on everything else means this card is dead weight for non-travel spending. If you're looking for a travel card, the ICICI MakeMyTrip card offers the same 5% on a more popular platform, and HDFC cards with SmartBuy offer 10x on travel. The Yatra card made more sense when Yatra was a major player — today, there are better options for travel rewards.

  • - 1% base rate on non-Yatra spends is terrible
